Valentine’s Day Falls on Sunday This Year
Let CTA help you use it to share Jesus with children!
“Carpe Diem! Seize the day!” At least, that’s what the Roman poet Horace advised.
More to the point for Christians, our Lord urges us, “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15–16; emphasis added).
The calendar presents one of those “every opportunities” this February. You and your church may want to seize it: February 14 will fall on Sunday in 2010. And CTA has developed new materials appropriate for children across a wide age range. Consider these two options:
- Host a Valentine’s Day party for kids in Sunday school and encourage them to bring their friends for this special day.
- Offer a three- or four-hour “parents day out” on Sunday afternoon and encourage both church members and community families to bring their children.
Don’t have time to plan a party? CTA offers a free planning guide —complete with games, food, activities, projects, and everything else you need to make your event a success. Advertise with eye-catching flyers and invitations; they’re FREE and ready for you to type in your church’s information and print!
Plus, you won’t believe the quality, value, and fun packed into CTA’s new and Christ-centered Valentine’s products:
- God’s Amazing Love Activity Book (suggested for ages 6–11);
- God’s Amazing Love Party Pack and
- A Love Sooo Big It’s Amazing children’s book (suggested for ages 3–8).
There’s more . . . too much more to say here. Check it out for yourself
