Steadfast, Unmovable — a free devotion for this week’s meetings

Read 1 Corinthians 15:51-58.

Focus: Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory in our Lord Jesus Christ! In 1 Corinthians 15, the apostle Paul details the blessings Jesus’ resurrection has secured for all believers. He describes what happens to us when life here on earth ends. The picture he paints floods our hearts with hope! And that hope impels us toward sharing the Resurrection message in both words and actions.

Reflect: Death is swallowed up in victory! And because we know that to be true, we also know that our lives have meaning and an eternal purpose. We can be steadfast, unmoved by the circumstances around us or the feelings inside us as we continue the ministry Jesus himself began here on earth. How are you doing that today and this week?

Pray: My work, Lord Jesus, is not “in vain,” because you work through me. Teach me . . .
